About us

The story

Launched 7 years ago, the Brisbane French Festival - now called Le Festival - is a not-for-profit association run by a passionate team of 25+ volunteers all year round and 300+ volunteers all over the week-end. Le Festival, first came to light in 2010 to share the Brisbane’s Francophile community’s passion for France with Australia. Today the festival has become the largest French Festival in Australia with more than 40 000 registered visitors and a unique «rendez-vous » for Brisbanites to experience a broad range of French culture…

So don’t miss out our 2017 edition.

Our vision

Le Festival is Brisbane's Francophile community sharing their passion for France with Australia.

The French community, enriched by Australia's multiculturalism, wants to facilitate exchange between our cultures. We want to inspire Australians to share our passion and join us in toasting the best of Australia and of France.
Le Festival will be the peak French celebration in Queensland.  Le Festival will illuminate Brisbane with French culture, it will provide an authentic immersion experience, it will be the premier showcase of all things French. Le Festival will be a major event on Australia's cultural calendar, it will celebrate the passion, warmth and spirit that is France
