The Highton Strings – Camberwell Grammar School

Music is central to the life of Camberwell Grammar School and every boy is a participant in any one or more of the myriad school music activities. The ensemble for the ASPIRE Festival comprises students from Yr 8 to Yr12. In 2015, the Highton Strings toured Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Italy, a performance highlight was at Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna.

Cantare – Westlake Girls High School

Cantare is the premier girls’ choir from Westlake Girls High School with 44 singers aged from Year 9 to 13. Located on the North Shore of Auckland City, New Zealand, Westlake has a long-standing reputation for excellence in choral and instrumental music. Cantare is one of four choirs run at Westlake Girls, and is directed by Fiona Wilson, tutored by vocal consultant Na Young Kim and accompanied by Cathy Bennett.

Ipswich Girls Grammar Show Choir

The IGGS show choir consists of students from years 7 – 12 at Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School and is a relatively young group, formed in September 2016, as an extension to the already-existing and all-inclusive IGGS Belle Voices Choir. The IGGS Show Choir represents the school in both competitive and non-competitive events for the wider community. Most recently, they participated in the 2016 Brisbane Sings event at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and competed in the Silkstone Vocal Eisteddfod where they were awarded third-place, an outstanding result for the choir.  The IGGS Show Choir is directed by Miss Claire Candy, a soprano hailing originally from Hobart, Australia.
