Bonjour Brisbane !

Welcome to Le Festival's 2022 celebrations!

This July, come and celebrate la France with Le Festival once again! We can promise a genuine immersion into French culture through memorable smaller moments of French frivolity and ‘joie de vivre

While the full scale Le Festival event is still not on the cards quiet yet, we are coming back in 2022 with the same spirit, passion, and frivolity as we usually do! Le Festival 2022 will be a transition format, with our two different celebrations ‘a la française’ coming up: a Noël en Juillet (Christmas in July) French Market at Roma St Parklands, and a Guinguette style evening ball at Riverlife. Complete with all the festival favourites plus some new additions, we promise an authentic French cultural experience, with a festive atmosphere and French “exuberance”!

Calling all Francophones, Francophiles, Brisbanites, and winder communities…. this event has been curated and brought together especially for all of you! Our much-loved event, and the peak French “rendez-vous” in Queensland, Le Festival unites communities in an inclusive and communal setting to strengthen Franco-Australian cultural and business relationships. Since 2010, we have been celebrating this spirit of France in Australia, and with continuous evolution, our event has earned its status as a highlight of Queensland’s cultural calendar – and we continuously strive to improve it year after year.

We try to include as much as we can, from entertainment to gastronomy, education to lifestyle, music to literature, and everything in between, we invite you to enjoy a genuine French cultural immersion at Brisbane very own local “coin de France”. This is what we hope to achieve with our upcoming events, so we hope you will join us to make it happen.

Our planned events will be COVID-safe and we are also working to make them as sustainable as possible with appropriate measures in place. Get ready for ‘français’ in the air

Rendez-Vous in July 2022 for "NOEL" in July and our Bastille Day Guinguette !

“Le Festival is a brilliant celebration of French entertainment, food, wine, Bastille Day, and so many things that les Français, Francophones, and Australians all enjoy. We’re proud to be an institutional partner. Félicitations to Le Festival on your tenth anniversary!”

Another great French Festival event this year, like all the previous ones.

It is very well-organised for the exhibitors, well-presented and clean for the visitors and relevant to the purpose of the French theme.

For many years now, Sofitel Brisbane Central has been happily associated with the Brisbane French Festival. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to join the biggest annual French gathering in Brisbane and showcase our common French identity to a very large crowd of enthusiastic Francophones and Francophiles.
Congratulations for another great edition!

The Festival was a terrific event for our business. It was extremely well-organised and managed by everyone involved (including all the wonderful volunteers) and we thought the exposure we had during the 2.5 days was well worth the pack-up and drive from Melbourne.

We’re already looking forward to next year - it has become our favourite Australian festival.

Over the past decade, for an eagerly anticipated weekend in July, Southbank’s Cultural Forecourt becomes a little corner of France. Le Festival has become one of the largest and most successful French Festivals in Australia. With a fabulous committee, the generous support of sponsors, and the enthusiasm of Francophiles from Brisbane and beyond, Le Festival gives visitors a real French experience in the heart of Brisbane. French Affair has been a part of Le Festival since the very beginning and we are proud to be part of this incredible event. We congratulate Le Festival on 10 magnifique years.

At Le Festival, there is a nice and relaxed atmosphere, the location in South Bank is perfectly chosen, and the program is varied, from master classes to Can Can performances, and much more in between. Le Festival offers a full immersion into French culture, especially from a culinary point of view with a variety of stalls offering French regional specialties. The wine pavilion is also an excellent way to discover or re-discover the big French wine-producing regions. Overall, Le Festival is the ideal place for lovers of France, its culture, and its gastronomy.Thank you again for these lovely moment.

Le Festival was such a wonderful week-end. So much happening ! Wine, champagne, cookery courses, great entertainment on the main stage for everyone to enjoy and of course the food with quintessential stalls. What I really enjoyed and made me so proud, was the way people embrace the Francophile atmosphere and just have a great time ! The organization of such an event is not easy but the team behind it does such a fantastic job under the guidance of Betty Moinet making it a must in the calendar.
