Fromager d’Affinois by La Fromagerie

Fromager d’Affinois by La Fromagerie

Nestled in the foothills of the Alps in the southeast of France, our Belley dairy is surrounded by ancient forest famous for its many waterfalls and lakes, while our Pélussin dairy is hidden in the heart of the Massif du Pilat regional park in the Rhône valley. Our range of cheeses has now been exclusively made for years in these two dairies, only 100km away from the foodie vibes of Lyon, the worldwide capital of gastronomy and home to many chefs.

The secret to our recipe? Rich cow’s milk that we collect from our local farmers whose mountain breeds, Montbeliardes and Holstein, graze on dense pasture. The skilled hand of our cheese maker then transforms the milk into creamy wheels of Fromager d’Affinois – Australia’s favourite specialty cheese.

We’re often asked how to pronounce our name (Fro-maj-ay Daff-een-wa) but we must admit, we love being known as ‘Daff’!

Brisbane French Theatre

"It is dusk at Notre Dame. Desperate Gargoyles lament and dream of escaping to a new life when the cathedral suddenly catches fire! As the evil & scheming Monseigneur Frollo embarks on a quest to find and punish the arsonist, an assortment of colourful characters (among them clumsy Quasimodo and strong-willed Esmeralda) will take the stage and join the investigation."

"Notre-Dame", an original musical performed in French and surtitled in English, will have you laugh, clap, sing and dance!

Brisbane French Theatre is a dynamic local theatre company bringing smashing, original French and bilingual plays to the Brisbane stage.

Brisbane French Theatre was created in 2017 with the goal of offering Australian audiences an entertaining and accessible immersion into French culture, and also to give native French speakers a chance to enjoy a great time at the theatre in their language. We also offer acting workshops.

Petite France 100% made in France

Petite France 100% made in France

Petite France is a husband and wife partnership between Celine (French) and Jonathan (Australian), and also baby Remi (both).

The products are all 100% made in France, from kitchenware, homewares, fashion, and kids’ wooden toys, to body care. They are all made following a traditional savoir-faire that has been around for decades, sometimes centuries. While there were many French-inspired products and plenty of ‘French style’, there was a sense of a huge gap between all of this and the true French-made products.

Petite France offers you the unique quality, beauty, and charisma of France, with products developed over time, with craftsmanship, and using nature and society as a guide.
