Brisbane French Theatre

Just another way to bring the French culture to Brisbane…

The Brisbane French Theatre (BFT) promotes French culture in Queensland through plays performed entirely in French with English subtitles.

What started as a group of friends collaborating on a play, has become a not-for-profit association in its 4th year of running. In 2015, a bunch of theatre amateurs and future friends met while producing there first-ever play performed entirely in French in Brisbane, in collaboration with Growl Theatre: Life x 3 by Yasmina Reza. The project was renewed the following year, after three-sold-out shows, with another of Reza’s plays.

In 2017, the Brisbane French Theatre officially became a not-for-profit association and produced two French plays: The Student and Mr Henri, and Simone Says
In 2018, the BFT produced its first 100% original play: Helas Avril
In 2019, the BFT is producing another ambitious original play - Repeat After Me - as well as offering theatre workshops for adults.

There several opportunities to get involved with the BFT as a volunteer to make these wonderful productions happen. Join the fun!

Petite France 100% made in France

Petite France 100% made in France

Petite France is a husband and wife partnership between Celine (French) and Jonathan (Australian), and also baby Remi (both).

The products are all 100% made in France, from kitchenware, homewares, fashion, and kids’ wooden toys, to body care. They are all made following a traditional savoir-faire that has been around for decades, sometimes centuries. While there were many French-inspired products and plenty of ‘French style’, there was a sense of a huge gap between all of this and the true French-made products.

Petite France offers you the unique quality, beauty, and charisma of France, with products developed over time, with craftsmanship, and using nature and society as a guide.
