With a ‘merveilleux’ line-up of specially selected performers set to illuminate the stage with French melodies, colourful dances, and joie de vivre, our artists will have you entertained from morning to night! … And, our glittering opening will be just the start…
CanCan you believe it? You spoke, we delivered, and artists you love will be back! We’re talking about the CanCan girls of Phoenix Entertainment, the French cabaret Femmes Diamants, traditional Polynesian dancers from Heilani Productions, French chanson by Estampa, our own Dj-ette DJ Orelee to set the mood with some fabulous tunes… and after 10 years, we’re also thrilled to welcome back Emma Hamilton with a jazzy, magique accordeon performance! … And there’s still more to go, with a few new ones in the mix, so keep reading below to see who’s on the list for our French fête and plan your weekend so you don’t miss out on your favourite performers!
Oh, and if you don’t stay in one spot, or by the stage, don’t worry – we’ve also got a group of roving performers ready to entertain you as you stroll around… you know : stilt walkers, acrobats, a unicyclist… you get ze gist, oui?

Pauline Maudy
After a string of successful Australian and international tours, French-born, award-winning singer Pauline Maudy (MZAZA) presents songs from her show, Take Me to Paris – a show inspired by her experience of growing up in two places – as well as some other favourite French songs and original compositions.
DJ Orelee
French female DJette, Orelee, has DJ’d with a twist across Europe, South America, and now Australia. Having previously performed at Le Festival, she returns once again, bring her French touch to specially selected sets which span from iconic French ‘fête’, melodies to, this year, tunes inspired by Paris 2024.
Phoenix
Phoenx Entertainment have been a major part of Le Festival events over the years, bringing us not only the CanCan girls, but also several colourful French or French-inspired characters including stilt walkers, French acrobats, the strolling Champagne dress ladies… and more! … And, they’re back again with their glamorous entourage to entertain you all weekend long with dance, colour, sparkle, and a French touch!
A Line In The Air
A Line In The Air is a French Australian Circus artist based in Meanjin (Brisbane). She mainly works in aerial arts, and also performs on the unique ground-based structure Tetra she created, as well as with giant bubbles. She graduated from the Académie Fratellini in Paris in 2012 and has since performed around the world with prestigious circus companies and directors before creating her own company to showcase emerging and established talent around Australia.
Emma Hamilton
A French-Australian singer & accordionist, singing in both French and English, Emma has tour throughout Europe and Russia opening the show for the legendary guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. She then relocated to London with her brother/pianist Tom Hamilton where they had a residency 6 nights a week at the biggest French cabaret in London Brasserie Zedel, which they held for many years.
Nikki Nouveau
Nikki Nouveau is an alluring chanteuse with delicate vocals and classical overtones. She brings to life the timeless magic of Paris in her enchanting musical escapade singing a rich repertoire from artists such as Jane Birkin, Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker, Dalida and Brigitte Bardot, along with her own original compositions.
Ben Noir
Australian born Ben Blanc presents the culmination of Ben’s love of french chanson in the classic style with songs by iconic artists such as Edith’s Piaf, Yves Montand and Charles Aznevour, using the theatrical twist of his unique flute voice falsetto rivalling the most daring sopranos!
Ben’s vocal range has been described as ‘extraordinary and amazing’ by both industry and audience members.
Estampa
Brisbane-based world folk jazz band Estampa is rooted in the traditions of French jazz (and Brazilian Bossa Novas), and brings you a unique musical experience evoking Parisian laneways. Made up of four diverse musicians, this energetic group will keep you jazzing along, and by the end, leave you feeling like you have just been transported to a 1930’s Parisian jazz club.
Gypsy Cats
Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Brisbane, Australia, The Gypsy Cats came together in 2016 and embarked on a musical journey that has seen them become a dominant force in Australia’s gypsy jazz landscape.Their musical odyssey has taken them to iconic venues and major music festivals, including Woodford, Brisbane Festival, OzManouche, Island Vibe, and Yonder, where they’ve left audiences spellbound with their infectious rhythms and captivating melodies.
Justin Peters
Based in Melbourne, Justin Peters is a classically trained tenor, with a versatile voice, specialising in musical theatre, classical cross-over and crooner music.
This is Justin’s second performance at “Le Festival.” He’s looking forward to bringing his “Aussie French Touch” to his 2024 English and French repertoire; with many new French songs being added … with a few surprises !!
