Noël, Noël…. is not far away!
Prepare yourself for French festive frivolity once again, as Le Festival’s French Christmas Market is on its way back to Brisbane for another round! You spoke, and we have delivered. Keep reading…
Le Festival’s “Marché de Noël” will be ‘decking the halls’ – and ‘decking the lawns’ – on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November! That’s right: for two days, we will transform West Village into an enchanting Marché de Noël, illuminated in festive ‘bleu-blanc-rouge’, plus a little bit extra!
This festive market has been specially curated for you to embrace the festive spirit ‘a la française’ with a wide array of creators and businesses with a french connection with a French bar, melodious entertainment, and our own merchandise stall, among others. We hope to create a warm, joyful atmosphere, and enjoy being able to celebrate together again.
We are incredibly excited to see you all again and come together in this perfect way to embrace the festive spirit – in more ways than one!
What: French Christmas Market
Who: Everyone
When: Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 2022, from 8am – 5pm both days
Where: West Village, West End (get there now)
What to expect: French Market with a festive theme “a la française”! An array of specially selected French or French-inspired stalls, artists and artisans, a French bar, a raffle, entertainment, Le Festival merchandise, and more!
Stalls are what make a market, a market! The main area of our Marché de Noël will comprise a specially selected array of xx stalls, showcasing unique talent and quality French or French-inspired products from local creators and from France. There will also be a dedicated area for eight French or French-inspired artists and artisans to share their craft.
Discover French-inspired creativity and find the perfect Christmas gift you were looking for.
A French Christmas market is never without some sort of mulled wine; at least in France. But not in Australia.
Our French bar will offer a selection of refreshing French red and white wines, Champagnes, Rose Sparkling, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy after shopping as you embrace the ambience.
Make sure you find some time to stop by the bar so we can wish you a “Joyeux Noël“!
Our Marché de Noël will also have a dedicated artists’ corner. This will be an area to showcase creativity and illuminate originality at its best.
The artist’s corner will offer a chance to both explore and immerse yourself in a little bit of French Christmas culture.
All of these will also be local creators. At Le Festival, we very much support local businesses, so we are giving their talent a chance to shine.
A Christmas Market is also not the same without some festive melodies! Entertainment and music are what create that warm atmosphere we love.
We will have a two groups of choirs and performers to provide festive cheer for you will you shop. With their harmonious talents and joyous tunes, they will really make it feel like Christmas!
