Beer & Cheese Tasting Masterclass

Discover the delightful synergy between brews and cheeses at our Beer & Cheese Tasting Masterclass. Perfect for aficionados and novices alike, this class will explore the unexpectedly perfect pairing of beer, cheese, and cider. Join us as cheese expert Peter Gross from Calendar Cheese Company and renowned beer educator Franck Berges guide you through an educational and sensory experience of French-inspired flavours.

During this masterclass, attendees will have the opportunity to taste a minimum of five French-inspired beers, each thoughtfully paired with a corresponding French-inspired cheese. This format allows to experience the nuanced interactions between the hops, malt, and the creamy or piquant profiles of artisanal cheeses; Experience cheese range from the pungent Le Conquerant Camembert of Normandy to the creamy mild blue of St Agur, along with the complex flavours of Epoisses, the aged Comte, and the uniquely Australian L’Artisan Fermier.

Franck and Peter will co-present this tasting experience, ensuring an informative session that covers the history, production, and tasting notes of each pairing. The selection of beers and cheeses has been carefully curated to showcase how these two culinary worlds can complement and enhance one another.

Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or simply curious about expanding your palate, this masterclass is a fantastic opportunity to learn, taste, and enjoy in a friendly and engaging setting. Join us for an unforgettable exploration of beer and cheese pairings that are as educational as they are delicious.
